The Cheese Life

The Cheese Life is unapologetic fun, a celebration of cheese in every gooey, melted, grilled and grated form, written by Mathew Carver of The Cheese Bar with the cheese writer Patrick McGuigan. There was no call here for restraint; the brief, in spirit, was appetite. The pictures needed to make you genuinely hungry, to catch the pull of melted cheese and the indulgence of a loaded board without ever tipping into excess.

I had a great deal of fun with texture and movement, the stretch, the ooze, the moment a toastie is pulled apart. Food this rich rewards a slightly playful eye, so I let the images run warm and generous rather than precious.
