Lisbon

A series from a summer spent in Lisbon; just me, a pocket camera, and whatever happened to be unfolding around me. Tables caught mid meal, watermelon and tomato on toast, a cold beer beading in the heat, the food and life of the city recorded in real time.

I photographed wherever the day took me: the beach, friends' homes as they cooked, small restaurants over long lunches. Working on instinct, rather than with a team, sharpens everything - you either hold the moment or you lose it. It was genuinely liberating, and a reminder of why I do what I do. It's not just about perfect plates, but about capturing the character of a place and the people you share it with.
